Control Unit: Forklift Combination Switch

- Dec 10, 2025-

The Forklift Combination Switch is an ergonomically designed, multi-functional

control interface integrated into the steering column of forklifts. It consolidates multiple

essential controls into a single modular unit, enhancing operational efficiency, safety,

and driver convenience.

Typically mounted within easy reach of the Forklift operator's hands, it serves as the central

command hub for key Forklif functions.

A standard combination switch integrates the following controls:

1. Directional Control (Travel Lever):

2. A main lever for selecting forward, neutral, and reverse travel directions.

3. Often incorporates an integrated Inch/Brake Pedal function (via a twist-grip or side trigger)

for precise slow-speed maneuvering and braking.

4. Lighting & Signaling Controls:

5. Headlight Switch: Controls low beam, high beam.

6. Work Light Switch: Operates LED lights for the load area.

7. Turn Signal Lever: Activates left/right indicators.

8. Hazard Warning Switch: Engages all four warning lights simultaneously.

9. Auxiliary Function Controls:

10. Horn Button: Audible warning device.

11. Wiper/Washer Control: Operates windshield wiper and fluid spray.

12. Attachment Control Buttons (Optional): Dedicated buttons for controlling optional hydraulic

attachments (e.g., side shift, fork positioners, clamp controls).
